Job Overview

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement hybrid cloud database solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell, and Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of a hybrid cloud database environment.
  • Migrate on premises databases to AWS using DMS, DMS CDC, and custom CDC scripts.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to define database requirements and solutions.
  • Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of a hybrid cloud database environment.
  • Implement cost optimization strategies and ensure efficient utilization of database resources.
  • Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities with minimal downtime and risk.
  • Implement and manage database backups, replication, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Continuously improve database infrastructure and architecture to support evolving business needs and best practices.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server/Oracle Database Administrator.
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services, particularly AWS RDS and related cloud technologies.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform for automating cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, Ansible, and PowerShell scripting for automation, orchestration, and integration tasks.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
  • Experience with agile methodologies and working.
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server/Oracle performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with database security principles and best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

MUFG Bank, Ltd. offers a competitive salary range of $112K - $133K, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
