Job Summary:

As a key member of our team at Crane Aerospace & Electronics, you will play a critical role in the development and production of high-quality electronic components and products. Reporting to the Test Group Supervisor, you will be responsible for building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying production electronic components and products, parts, equipment, and systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and work in accordance with work orders, drawings, and schematics, as well as oral instructions.
  • Setup, adjust, adapt, operate, and interpret results from standard and special purpose test equipment, applicable to assigned areas.
  • Perform functional, calibration, qualification, acceptance tests, and design verification tests under various environmental and operational variables.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
  • Test and align hybrid circuitry.
  • Modify and update ATPs, STPs, QTPs, DVTPs, and other relevant procedures.
  • Document and analyze test data, make computations, plot, graph, and chart as needed, and prepare concise and accurate reports of test results.
  • Assist engineers in problem-solving, such as confined interference factors, alternative or unsuitable components, producibility problems, and feasibility of applications.
  • Program test equipment and utilize software necessary to complete job responsibilities.
  • Interface with production technicians, assemblers, buyers, engineers, and other groups to exchange information, provide technical assistance, and share equipment.
  • Train, mentor, and check the accuracy of work of designated employees of lower classification.
  • Interface with customers and provide customer support, working with users to identify needs, determine sources of problems, and provide information on products.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience required.
  • Two-year degree in electronics or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of practical application of engineering electronics, science, and technology.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
