Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct weekly safety meetings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations across all sites.
  • Address and rectify any unsafe practices immediately.
  • Maintain a daily job log, documenting deliveries, personnel on-site, and completed tasks.
  • Monitor crew attendance and assist in the allocation of labor hours and cost codes.
  • Prepare and update 3-week Lookaheads at the conclusion of each week.
  • Organize daily tasks based on priorities, adjusting plans as necessary due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Plan ahead to optimize material procurement and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to crew members and subcontractors.
  • Ensure accountability among trades and employees, upholding high standards of workmanship.
  • Mentor and train team members in line with company practices.
  • Emphasize the safe operation of tools, machinery, and equipment.
  • Oversee quality control across all trades.
  • Coordinate schedules with County and Third-Party Inspectors.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Engineers and Managers to develop RFIs and propose solutions.
  • Resolve on-site conflicts or miscommunications swiftly and amicably.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or certification in a relevant skilled trade.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction best practices, equipment maintenance, and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and codes, and communicate this information effectively.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in mathematics and problem-solving.
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift at least 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors for extended periods.
