Job Summary

As a Field Operations Manager with ZymeFlow, you will oversee multiple decontamination projects in refinery process units and industrial settings. You will supervise field staff to ensure compliance with project scope and be the primary point of contact for client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the supervision of decontamination service operations during project execution.
  • Attend refinery operations, maintenance, and engineering planning meetings without assistance.
  • Develop and write procedures, calculate chemical, equipment, and personnel requirements.
  • Supervise decontamination service operations during project completion.
  • Lead a team with strong leadership skills, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Train and develop employees on company processes.
  • Enforce company values, policies, and procedures.
  • Abide by company and client safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct pre-job walks and client operator training.
  • Have an advanced understanding of refinery process unit operations and ZymeFlow applications.
  • Plan and execute ZymeFlow processes.
  • Communicate ZymeFlow processes and chemical applications.
  • Set up barrels, barrel pumps, and connect hoses for decontamination operations.
  • Monitor chemical levels and injection rates.
  • Conduct tailgate safety meetings and complete associated safety forms.
  • Attend plan unit operations, maintenance, and engineering startup and planning meetings.
  • Coordinate large turnarounds for execution and customer relations.
  • Record events and provide daily status updates.
  • Follow prescribed planning booklet instructions and adjust as needed.
  • Complete required paperwork accurately and transmit to the corporate office.
  • Perform meter testing procedures to measure H2S, LEL, Benzene, and other potential hazards.
  • Read and understand plan P&IDs and ZymeFlow process drawings.
  • Troubleshoot job conditions and exercise corrective actions.
  • Backfill the Operations Manager role.
  • Assist Sales Representatives with technical support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience or equivalent education.
  • 5 years of decon experience preferred.
  • Refinery experience to increase communication with clients.
  • Experience leading execution teams, including management of large projects.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret process flow diagrams.
  • High initiative with the ability to mentor and coach company processes.
  • Ability to travel approximately 70% of the time, both domestic and international.
  • Active TWIC, Driver's License, and US Passport.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; prefer a Bachelor's or Process Technology Degree.
Physical Requirements
  • Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting as required to place pumps into position in barrels. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting to 50 lbs. overhead with both hands during pump placement.
  • Work is generally performed in oil/chemical refinery or pipelines and tank terminals.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may have to repeatedly stand, stoop, speak, listen, and use hands to seize, grip, hold, reach, turn, lift, or carry objects 25 lbs. or more, and use equipment requiring high dexterity.
Work Environment
  • Frequent exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhausts, and highly pressurized fluids. (Respiratory protective equipment will be provided when required).
  • Occasional work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat index of 95+ degree Fahrenheit, 98% humidity; and sub-zero weather conditions) relative to geographic location.
  • The noise level in the work environment is often in excess of 85 dBa.
