Position Overview: Math Intervention Specialist
Core Responsibilities
The primary objective of this role is to deliver targeted small group instruction for students facing challenges in mathematics, while also playing a key role in the overall intervention strategy of the campus.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Certification as mandated by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC)
- Preferred ESL Certification or to be obtained within two years of employment
- Strong performance in T-TESS or equivalent evaluations
Essential Skills:
- Proficient communication abilities
- In-depth knowledge of the curriculum for the designated grade level
- Capability to foster and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues
- Adeptness in managing multiple complex administrative tasks
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of experience in a traditional public school classroom or equivalent
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Oversight
- Act as a support tier for students struggling in mathematics and language arts
- Provide training for campus educators on effective intervention methodologies
- Assess and improve intervention strategies
- Facilitate collaboration across the district
- Track student progress and assist in refining intervention tools
- Analyze performance data to design targeted interventions for students in need
- Offer assistance to students who do not achieve success on assessments

- Adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Maintain proficiency with technology
- Implement alternative instructional strategies
- Fulfill assigned responsibilities
