Position: HVAC Service Operations Manager

Location: North Salem, NY

Salary: $90,000-$110,000 - DOE + Excellent benefits package

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Oversee, guide, and develop a team of HVAC service professionals. This includes recruitment, training, and conducting performance assessments to ensure a competent and driven workforce.
  • Quality Control: Guarantee that all HVAC service tasks are executed to the highest quality standards, following industry best practices and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with commercial clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with the services rendered.
  • Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Foster a safety-oriented culture among team members and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols. Monitor adherence to relevant laws, codes, and industry standards.
  • Inventory Oversight: Oversee the inventory of parts and supplies necessary for HVAC service, ensuring sufficient stock levels and cost-effectiveness.
  • Service Coordination: Organize, schedule, and allocate service calls to technicians, ensuring efficient resource allocation and prompt responses to client requests.
  • On-Call Management: Administer and implement on-call rotations, ensuring technicians are prepared for upcoming shifts.
  • Sales Collaboration: Collaborate with the Sales team to gather on-site information, provide insights on technical inquiries, and coordinate strategies for replacement projects. Additionally, maintain consistent growth by promoting new maintenance contracts and service accounts.
  • Training and Skill Development: Stay informed about the latest HVAC industry trends, technologies, and regulations. Offer training opportunities for technicians to enhance their expertise and knowledge.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement initiatives to streamline service operations and boost customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in HVAC service management or a comparable supervisory role within the HVAC sector. Experienced service technicians aiming to transition into a managerial role will also be considered.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, equipment, and maintenance methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, technicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in HVAC software, scheduling tools, and computer applications.
  • Understanding of safety regulations, codes, and compliance requirements.
  • Business acumen and a results-driven mindset to achieve departmental objectives and financial targets.
