Science Teacher

Alamance-Burlington Schools is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join our team. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to students in grades 6-8.

The Science Teacher will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

• Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all students, including those with diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Develop and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans that promote student engagement and motivation.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
• Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in science education.

• Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field.
• Valid North Carolina teaching certification in Science Education (6-8).
• Experience working with students in grades 6-8.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• National Board Certification in Science Education.
• Experience with project-based learning and technology integration.
• Fluency in Spanish or other languages.
