Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Science Teacher to join our team at Alamance-Burlington Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging science lessons to students in grades 6-8.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum-aligned lesson plans that cater to the needs and abilities of students
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of student performance and progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science Education or a related field
  • Valid North Carolina teaching certification in Science Education (grades 6-8)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Board Certification in Science Education
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages
