Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist with daily living activities, and maintain a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, and playtime
  • Prepare patient rooms for admission, ensuring cleanliness and proper equipment
  • Participate in comfort rounds and vital sign checks
  • Record patient intake and output as directed by the Registered Nurse
  • Ensure adequate stock of equipment and supplies
  • Maintain sterile technique during formula preparation
  • Transport patients to other unit locations and escort discharged patients
  • Serve as receptionist for the unit, answering phone calls and greeting patients and families
  • Participate in unit, departmental, and hospital education programs
  • Adhere to Nemours Standards of Behavior
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or completion of one full semester of clinical rotations in an accredited School of Nursing
  • Minimum of one year of patient care experience preferred
  • American Heart Basic Life Support certification
