Job Title: Software Architect II

CSX Technology is a leader in the rail industry, leveraging innovative approaches to technology solutions. As a Software Architect II, you will play a critical role in defining solutions for complex business requirements and creating the foundation for next-generation software capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and areas.
  • Guide technology teams in the use of CSX Enterprise Standard techniques, tools, and libraries, as well as building applications that follow CSX design principles and code quality standards.
  • Promote and socialize the standard application architecture view within the larger organization.
  • Exhibit working knowledge of industry directions, standards, and emerging technologies, making recommendations for integration into the CSX portfolio.
  • Contribute to the architecture design of multiple software projects or a single large/complex project, ensuring the success of major application development and roll-outs.
  • Partner with Business Architects and Product Owners to trail blaze technology system scope, objectives, and requirements.
  • Lead the development and implementation of foundational software libraries and tools used by application development teams across the enterprise.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or a related major field of study.
  • 7 or more years of experience in Software Development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, or a related major field of study.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Software Development.
