Alexander Rose International is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Atlanta. As a reputable general contractor, we specialize in private, commercial, and highway and bridge construction projects across the city.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, submission, and management of heavy/highway and railroad bridge and culvert projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with project owners, engineers, and stakeholders to identify and resolve project-related issues.
  • Proposal and Quote Review: Review and assess proposals and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure best value for the company.
  • Material Planning and Tracking: Plan, prepare, and track project submittals and quantities to ensure accurate material usage and minimize waste.
  • Cost Management and Monitoring
  • Cost Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and report on project costs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Submittal and Certification Management: Submit and track project submittals and certifications to ensure timely completion and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Meetings and Communication: Attend and actively participate in pre-bid, pre-construction, and project coordination meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Administrative and Organizational Tasks: Perform administrative tasks, including force account processing, purchase order initiation, and job billing and invoicing. Maintain accurate records and documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 2+ years of experience in project management and/or operations, with a focus on transportation and construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and other construction software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and interpret project plans and specifications, and to perform tasks in a construction environment while adhering to all safety requirements.
  • Construction experience is strongly preferred, and a salary will be determined based on experience.
