Job Summary

TerraBella Lake Norman is seeking a skilled and compassionate Celebrations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our senior living community, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing resident services, including planning and coordinating activities that promote physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
  • Assess, plan, and manage the facilitation of a comprehensive activities program, utilizing team members and volunteers.
  • Coordinate community events, including setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring a seamless experience for residents and staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the availability of necessary equipment and supplies for activities and events.
  • Develop and implement holiday and special event programs that engage residents and promote community spirit.
  • Maintain activity areas in a clean and organized manner, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of activity and programming supplies, games, and craft services.
  • Prepare and organize a calendar of events, submitting it to the Executive Director for final approval and distribution.
  • Distribute community newsletters and meet with new residents to introduce the program.
  • Assist the Director in leading the wellness program and organize a volunteer staff.
  • Address resident groups and other groups on topics of common interest.
  • Maintain a database and prepare reports on resident assessments, participation, and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in assisted living, long-term care, or working with the senior population is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, speaking the primary language of the residents.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Windows, including Word and Excel, and software to design calendars and signs.
  • Ability to interact with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and stooping, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision.
