Quality Assurance Specialist

Atlas Roofing Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team at our Hampton, Georgia facility.
Job Summary:The Quality Control Lab Technician will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products by conducting inspections and testing of finished goods and raw materials. This role will also involve communicating with production teams and supervisors to resolve quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct inspections and testing of finished goods and raw materials to ensure they meet Atlas and UL specifications.
- Communicate with production teams and supervisors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Perform line audits to assess finished quality and in-process quality.
- Assist in the training of production employees and provide guidance on quality control procedures.
- Input data into computer systems and verify accuracy.
- Rotate with other lab technicians to ensure coverage during production hours.
- Perform warehouse audits to assess finished goods quality.
- Maintain lab equipment and scales, and ensure they are in good working order.
- Communicate with supervisors and production employees to resolve quality issues.
- Set up wastewater sampling and prepare samples for shipment.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new products.
- Participate in project teams to improve quality, process, or performance.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Some college or an associate's degree preferred.
- 5-7 years' experience in a manufacturing facility or similar environment.
- Mathematical skills with an emphasis on statistical processes.
- Communication skills to effectively converse with production teams.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing process.
