Chief Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our imaging department, ensuring that all diagnostic procedures are performed efficiently and professionally.

• Supervise and manage a team of radiologic technologists to ensure that all exams are performed to the highest standards.
• Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians and other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of equipment and supplies.
• Develop and maintain quality control programs to ensure accurate and reliable imaging results.
• Provide training and education to staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Participate in the hiring process and ensure that all new staff members are properly oriented and trained.
• Ensure that all imaging equipment is properly maintained and calibrated to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and experience.

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
• Registered Medical Sonographer (RMS) certification.
• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, or Sonography.
• Three years of experience in a radiology department, with at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• BS degree in Health Sciences or a related field.
• Experience with quality control and quality assurance programs.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance.
• Experience with budgeting and resource management.
