Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Pharmacist to oversee daily operations and lead the pharmacy team effectively at one of our valued community health partners in the region. This is a temporary contract role with potential for a contract-to-hire transition based on performance and suitability for the role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations of the retail pharmacy, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of experienced pharmacy technicians to optimize their performance and productivity.
  • Medication Dispensing: Ensure accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, with a daily volume of approximately prescriptions, while maintaining high standards of quality and patient safety.
  • Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC): Take on the Interim PIC role, with the option to start as a Staff Pharmacist to assess the pharmacy and team, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Software Utilization: Utilize the Rx30 software system for pharmacy management, including inventory control, patient data management, and billing.
  • 340B Program: Leverage experience with the 340B Drug Pricing Program, if applicable, to optimize pharmacy operations and maximize revenue.
Qualifications
  • Arkansas Pharmacist License: Current Arkansas Pharmacist License in good standing.
  • Operational Experience: Proven experience in opening and closing retail pharmacies, with a strong understanding of operational procedures and protocols.
  • Team Management: Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage pharmacy technicians, with a focus on performance improvement and team development.
  • 340B Experience: Experience with 340B is a plus, with a strong understanding of program requirements and best practices.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to take on the PIC role, with flexibility to start as a Staff Pharmacist if needed, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Communication Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, patients, and stakeholders.
