About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead AV Technician to join our team at DMS. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for leading the installation of complex AV systems, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Commissioning: Lead the installation of AV systems, including the setup and configuration of equipment, and ensure that all systems are functioning correctly.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and that all stakeholders are informed and satisfied.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Customer Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that their needs are met.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting services to customers, ensuring that any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to customers and internal staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to use AV systems effectively.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of AV systems and technologies, including installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Leadership and Management: Have experience of leading and managing teams, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve their best.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Business Acumen: Have a good understanding of business principles and practices, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal Education: Possess a degree in a relevant field, such as AV technology, electronics, or a related discipline.
  • Industry Certifications: Hold industry-recognized certifications, such as CTS or AVIXA.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in the AV industry, with a proven track record of success in installation, project management, and team leadership.
