Host/Hostess Opportunity at Troon-The Clubs at St. James

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host/Hostess to join our team at Troon-The Clubs at St. James. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience that sets the tone for their visit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome guests with a smile and escort them to their assigned table.
  • Control the flow of work in the dining room by seating guests in a timely manner and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assign opening and closing side duties, supervise side work, and ensure all stations are set up before service staff depart.
  • Maintain reservation books, take incoming calls, and note reservations and special requests.
  • Remain knowledgeable about menu items, prices, and general service procedures.
  • Ensure high standards of appearance and cleanliness in all service areas.
  • Remain visible and accessible to guests, staff, and management.
  • Check tables daily to ensure proper settings.
  • Assist with side work and support service staff with bussing tables and taking cocktail orders.
  • Communicate guest requests and concerns to the department manager.
  • Practice safe work habits.
Requirements:
  • No prior experience necessary, as we provide comprehensive training.
