Job Title: Home Health Aide/PCA/CNA

At Interim Healthcare, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Health Aide/PCA/CNA to join our team. As a Home Health Aide/PCA/CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and caring individual to provide personal care and support to patients in their homes. As a Home Health Aide/PCA/CNA, you will be responsible for assisting patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as providing emotional support and companionship.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
  • Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
  • Assist patients with incidental and instrumental activities of daily living, such as shopping and meal preparation
  • Document observations, activities, and service provided in a timely and accurate manner
  • Follow the assignment sheet/service plan and perform only tasks that are assigned
  • Recognize, report, and record changes in patient condition and safety to supervisor
Requirements:
  • Eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Six (6) months of experience in healthcare or completion of the Office's preceptor program
  • A school of nursing student in the last year of a program or has documentation from the school of successful demonstration of personal care aide skills or graduate RN or LPN/LVN with proof of graduation
  • Pass state required criminal and abuse background checks where required
  • Able to effectively communicate in English with all levels of the workforce, both clinical and non-clinical
Working Conditions:

As a Home Health Aide/PCA/CNA, you will be working in patients' homes, which may involve occasional exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and other potentially infectious or hazardous materials. You will be required to follow extensive safety precautions and may need to use protective equipment.

You will be constantly standing, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and reaching freely. You will also be frequently lifting, repositioning, and transferring clients/patients, and carrying bundles such as groceries and laundry up or down stairs.

Medium physical activity that may require frequent lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs.
