About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Windows/Linux System Administrator to join our team at Nightwing. As a key member of our Cybersecurity, Intelligence and Services (CIS) business, you will be responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Windows/Linux infrastructure for classified programs in both physical and cloud (AWS and/or Azure) environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous RedHat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Understand and knowledge of Windows Server internals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
  • Work in both cloud (Azure) and on-prem environments.
  • Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
  • Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
  • Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.
  • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Experience with some of, but not limited to, the following technologies: DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, NetBackup, prior systems administration and networking administration experience beyond account maintenance, Windows or Linux administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.
  • Experience with server architectures and troubleshooting methods and be able to assist in developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems.
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, Windows desktops (Windows XP, 7, 10), Splunk and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Previous experience working in a cloud (AWS) environment.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification
  • In-depth working experience in Linux Server Administration
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
  • AWS Certifications
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph Required Day 1
