Role Summary:
The Medicaid Application Specialist is primarily tasked with managing Community Medicaid applications and re-certifications for our patients. This role involves daily reconciliation and distribution of census data, as well as securing Medicaid approval Form 1445 for residents in our outpatient and skilled nursing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with family members and various governmental bodies, including the Department of Human Services and the Social Security Administration.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations governing Medical Assistance Programs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support Medicaid applications.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing regulations is essential.
Experience: Comprehensive understanding of relevant laws and guidelines is required.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
