We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at McKinney Falls State Park. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs to park facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to park facilities, equipment, and grounds
  • Operate various types of equipment, including mowers, trimmers, power tools, tractors, and vehicles
  • Provide excellent customer service to park visitors and the general public
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, using initiative and independent judgment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Completion of 8th grade
  • Experience in facility, equipment, or grounds maintenance
  • Valid State driver's license
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to lift supplies and materials up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:

  • 40 hours per week, with hours other than 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and days off other than Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays
  • Perform manual labor, including lifting supplies and materials up to 50 lbs.
  • May be required to operate a State vehicle
  • Travel 5% with possible overnight stays
