About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Institutional and Corporate Legal Affairs Specialist to join our team at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our clients in the areas of environmental and social policy, project finance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on environmental and social policy matters, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the review and analysis of project finance documents, including loan agreements and guarantees.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with IDB's environmental and social policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector entities.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in environmental and social policies and procedures, and provide recommendations for updates to IDB's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in law or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in environmental and social policy, project finance, or compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of IDB's environmental and social policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
