Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team at Government Jobs. As a key member of our Utilities Department, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing wastewater treatment facilities and collection systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair wastewater treatment facilities and collection systems to ensure efficient and effective operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as system failures or spills, to minimize disruptions and ensure public safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in wastewater treatment or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
