About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Bandwidth Inc. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our internal customers, ensuring the smooth operation of our desktop and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Desktop Support: Provide timely and effective support for Mac, Windows, and Linux laptops, as well as GSuite and other cloud applications.
  • IT Asset Management: Deploy, track, and maintain IT assets, including laptops, monitors, and other peripherals.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document issue resolution using our help desk ticketing system and communicate effectively with internal customers.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain and track inventory of all hardware and software resources and parts.
  • Vendor Management: Work with outside vendors as needed to resolve technical issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience with setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktop/notebook hardware and software.
  • Technical Skills: Active Directory concepts and administration, strong customer service skills, and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands-on IT experience.
  • IDaaS and SaaS Administration.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a structured, process-driven environment.
  • Experience supporting a variety of Wi-Fi-enabled environments.
  • Experience supporting remote users, including VPN connections.
  • Linux: CLI and GUI, OS and package installation, basic troubleshooting.
  • Microsoft Windows (7,10) and Office Suite.
  • Mac OS X.
  • Some knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, RADIUS, etc.).
