Job Summary

The ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH) is a leading provider of life-saving care and relief for animal victims of cruelty and neglect. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in our team's efforts to provide high-quality, compassionate care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care, utilizing Fear Free Guidelines to minimize stress and anxiety.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary medical team to deliver skilled, efficient, and compassionate treatment to outpatients and hospitalized patients.
  • Support the Animal Recovery Center as needed, ensuring seamless care and coverage.
  • Document and communicate patient concerns or observed changes to veterinarians.
  • Provide a safe and compassionate environment for animals, staff, and clients, utilizing low-stress handling techniques.
Requirements
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician - American Association of Veterinary State Boards
  • Completion of the Fear Free 8 module course or willingness to complete within 60 days of hire/promotion
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work standing for 10 or more hours
  • Basic to advanced computer skills, including Excel, Microsoft Office, and ImproMed
What We Offer

A competitive salary, starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of factors, including education, training, experience, location, business needs, internal equity, market demands, or budgeted amount for the role. The target hiring range for this role is $34. In addition to a competitive salary, this role offers a signing bonus.
