OVERVIEW:
The Facilities Operations Supervisor is accountable to the Facilities Engineering Manager and acts as the lead supervisor during evening and weekend functions at the designated center. This role entails managing staff during events and performing essential maintenance tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee janitorial and maintenance personnel
- Set up and manage audio-visual equipment for events
- Ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of the facilities
- Coordinate venue arrangements, dismantling, and cleaning for special occasions
- Conduct daily inspections of the facility, documenting issues, and maintaining a list of maintenance tasks
- Monitor compactor operations and waste management
- Respond to emergencies such as fire alarms, chemical spills, and hazardous material incidents
- Identify necessary repairs and communicate with the Facilities Engineering Manager for action plans
- Maintain equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and provide training to staff and guests
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors as directed
- Train janitorial staff in cleaning and deep cleaning techniques when necessary
- Assist with significant property projects and tasks as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory)
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience (required)
- Preferred 5 years of maintenance experience
- Must be at least 21 years old (required)
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Experience in plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and electrical work
- Completion of Lift Truck Safety Course
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Strong communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
EQUIPMENT USED:
- Modern office equipment and relevant software
- Appropriate janitorial and maintenance tools
