We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient intake activities and resources, evaluating the severity of illness, and reviewing physician orders for clinical appropriateness.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient intake activities and resources to ensure seamless care delivery
- Evaluate the severity of illness for all elective, direct, and urgent admissions to determine appropriate level of patient care
- Review physician orders for clinical appropriateness and completeness, and ensure proper admission status
- Coordinate education and development of internal staff and external departments to ensure understanding of intake review and approval process
- Conduct complex clinical review for inpatient, outpatient, and ancillary services requests for medical necessity
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire
- Minimum of 1 year previous hospice experience
- BSN
