Ascension is seeking a skilled Nurse Supervisor RN to lead our clinical team in providing high-quality patient care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and providing leadership to a team of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the activities of clinical/non-clinical teams to ensure quality patient care and implementation of clinical objectives.
- Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments to ensure population-appropriate care.
- Delegate duties to clinical/non-clinical teams based on assessed skills and abilities, in accordance with applicable State Nurse Practice Act.
- Evaluate the care delivered by other licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff, providing direct and immediate feedback and coaching.
- Participate in the hiring process for new staff members, conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing.
- Required professional licensure/certification and 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience.
