Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide guidance and oversight to grounds staff, ensuring the maintenance and improvement of grounds are handled effectively and efficiently.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure seamless delivery of grounds operations.
  • Work Order Management: Review and prioritize work orders, ensuring timely completion according to safety standards and sustainability practices.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with clients and facility leadership to create and implement new policies and procedures to enhance landscape and ground maintenance.
  • Fiscal Management: Determine fiscal requirements and prepare budgets to ensure client needs are met.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, EPA, and other local, state, and federal regulations, and communicate such regulations to grounds staff.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of previous experience in groundskeeping or horticulture, with 3+ years of experience managing grounds crews.
  • Skills: Extensive knowledge of landscape irrigation systems and Arboriculture, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization and external vendors and contractors.
