As the Area Behavior Analyst, your role will involve providing specialized behavioral support and consultation across various Spectrum School locations within a designated region. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting assessments, formulating behavior intervention plans, training staff, and ensuring adherence to applicable regulations and standards.

The Area Behavior Analyst will collaborate closely with the Area/Regional VP, Operations, and on-site Program Directors to improve the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes of students through evidence-based practices and teamwork with educational staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to determine the underlying causes of challenging behaviors in students.
  • Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, in alignment with Spectrum standards.
  • Assist in the creation of measurable IEP goals and monitor progress in collaboration with instructional staff.
  • Apply evidence-based interventions utilizing scientifically validated behavioral strategies to enhance student outcomes.
  • Provide crisis intervention support for students displaying aggressive or self-injurious behaviors and devise strategies to minimize the need for intensive staffing.
  • Work closely with educational teams to gather and analyze behavioral data, ensuring effective intervention strategies are in place.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of each campus within the assigned region, providing recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.
  • Facilitate training for on-site teams regarding behavioral assessment, intervention strategies, and crisis management.
  • Offer guidance to staff pursuing BACB certification, as coordinated with the Program Director or VP of Behavior Services.
  • Assist in developing and executing improvement plans for campuses to boost student performance and staff effectiveness.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to address behavioral needs and contribute to comprehensive support strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Education regulations and internal standards across all campuses in the assigned area.
  • Maintain detailed records of assessments, interventions, and compliance activities.
  • Provide operational support to schools, focusing on academic achievement and staff development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the organization's success.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Valid certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board at one of the following levels:
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral (BCBA-D)
    • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
    • Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) may be acceptable at some locations.
  • Ability to maintain certification in approved crisis management procedures.
  • Preferred: Current education specialist or special education teaching credential.
  • A valid driver's license is required for travel between locations.
  • Experience in training and implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques in educational settings.
  • Proficient in working with individuals with severe learning and emotional behavioral disorders, including autism spectrum disorders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant technology and software applications.
