Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst II to join our team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. As a key member of our Patient Access Services team, you will be responsible for providing analytical insights and strategic recommendations to drive business growth and improve patient access to our clinicians' expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Patient Access leadership to define and scope analyses, collect and manage data, and perform statistical and mathematical modeling.
  • Develop new tools and systems to support business needs and disseminate actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Manage individual analytical products and projects from question to answer, including problem framing, data collection and validation, exploratory analysis, statistical modeling, visualization, and synthesis.
  • Effectively communicate insights and see them through to implementation.
Requirements
  • 4-7 years of experience using analytics and data science to impact key business decisions in partnership with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of building reproducible analyses using R, Python, or a similar language.
  • Experience building beautiful production-grade dashboards using Tableau or a similar tool.
  • Deep comfort with relational databases and SQL.
  • Ability to choose the right technical approach for a question and know that the simplest solution is often the best.
  • Solid understanding of common statistical methods, especially regression and probability.
Core Skills
  • Effective communication and storytelling skills, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and carrying out communications based on that understanding.
  • Resilience in recovering from setbacks and skill in finding detours around obstacles.
  • Adept at learning quickly and applying insights from past efforts to new situations.
Additional Information

This role is based at MSK's 633 Third Avenue location and requires a full-time schedule with hybrid onsite work (1-2 days a week). Reporting to the Associate Director, Strategy Innovation Technology Dev.
