Position Overview: The Police Officer provides critical security services by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining visitor control, and investigating irregularities. This role requires excellent communication skills to provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol assigned areas to ensure a safe and secure environment
  • Maintain visitor control and investigate irregularities
  • Provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
  • Collaborate with the Campus Police & Public Safety department to promote a safe and secure environment

Requirements:

  • 2 Years of Law Enforcement experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Police Science or related field preferred
  • Certified by NC Training and Standards Commission or Basic Law Enforcement Training within the last 12 months required; Certified by NC Training and Standards Commission within 1 year of hire preferred

Work Schedule: The Police Officer works a Sqaud shift from 6pm to 6am, with every other weekend requirement.
