Job Summary:
The Police Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by patrolling assigned areas, controlling visitor access, and investigating any irregularities. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Patrol assigned areas to ensure a safe and secure environment
• Maintain visitor control and investigate any irregularities
• Provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
• Collaborate with the Campus Police & Public Safety department to promote a safe and secure environment
Requirements:
• 2 years of law enforcement experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's degree in police science or a related field preferred
• Certification by the NC Training and Standards Commission or completion of basic law enforcement training within the last 12 months required
• Certification by the NC Training and Standards Commission within 1 year of hire
Work Schedule:
• B Squad: 6pm-6am
Weekend and Call Requirements:
• Every other weekend
• No call requirements
