Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance and repair operations of our facilities. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and technical expertise to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance
    • Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
    • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
    • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
    • Manage and oversee repair and renovation projects, coordinating with external contractors and vendors as needed.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Equipment and Machinery Maintenance
    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment used in the facility.
    • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
    • Keep detailed records of equipment maintenance and repair work.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery and equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Team Management
    • Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training or professional development opportunities for team members.
    • Schedule and assign work orders to the maintenance team, ensuring timely and effective completion.
  • Budget Management
    • Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
    • Monitor and control maintenance expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
    • Source and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best value for maintenance supplies and services.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
    • Ensure timely ordering of supplies to prevent shortages and ensure the availability of necessary materials.
    • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Emergency Response
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans for maintenance-related issues.
    • Ensure the maintenance team is trained and prepared to respond to emergencies.
    • Coordinate with relevant departments and external agencies during emergency situations to ensure swift and effective resolution.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance management, with a focus on facilities maintenance.
    • Relevant certifications in facilities management or maintenance (e.g., CFM, CPMM) are a plus.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Must be able to adapt to changing needs and make quick, accurate decisions.
