Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation
- Lead a team of maintenance professionals to ensure that all facilities and attractions are properly maintained and operated
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize capital projects and budget planning
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and maintain relationships with local government agencies and community groups
- Provide strategic direction for long-range planning of new attractions and capital projects
- Establish and maintain design, construction, and maintenance schedules and budgets
- Manage the maintenance of all rides, attractions, water slides, and aquatic systems
- Develop, implement, and maintain consistently high standards for the maintenance of all equipment and systems
- Oversee park capital development and spending
- Manage the approval and selection of contractors and vendors for all park projects
- Actively participate in park management issues and team meetings with upper management, peers, and cross-park management
- Guide and influence future investments in rides, shows, attractions, equipment, culinary, and merchandising
- Collaborate with a variety of diverse corporate and government entities
- Serve as a spokesperson to local, regional, state, and federal agencies, community, and business groups
- Attend meetings, hearings, and appeals to represent park interests
- A minimum of ten years related experience in facilities maintenance, project management, construction management, and ride preventative maintenance programs
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively lead and inspire a diverse, technical group
- Technical knowledge of amusement rides, water slides, pools, and associated systems
- In-depth understanding of merchandising, culinary, and theater design/construction
- Extensive background with site utilities and building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, aquatic swimming pool systems, etc.
- Thorough knowledge of the means and methods of construction
- AIMS or NAARSO certification required
- Active Professional Engineering license highly desirable
- Certified Pool Operator preferred
- Valid state driver's license and be able to obtain a company driver's license
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp, and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays
- Willingness to comply with all grooming standards and SEA standards
