Position Summary:
  • The Signage Installation Specialist is responsible for the production, setup, and removal of signs and graphics for both new and existing clients. This role involves creating and installing signage of various sizes and materials on different structures using an array of tools.
  • Tasks include assembling signs from computer-cut vinyl and wide-format full-color prints. Proper preparation of substrates and the application of vinyl according to detailed instructions are essential.
  • Responsibilities may encompass the installation of vinyl graphics, vehicle wraps, signage, and lettering on vehicles. This includes applying floor graphics or vinyl on walls and windows, as well as cutting and shaping graphics to fit various surfaces, ensuring proper adherence and cutting techniques during application.
  • The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, self-driven, and a collaborative team player, dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift over 50 lbs and work at heights exceeding 10 feet.
  • Prior experience in production and installation is advantageous. Candidates must prioritize safety and possess the physical capability to meet job demands.
  • Graphic design skills are considered a plus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure signs accurately match the work order specifications (e.g., spelling, medium, size).
  • Operate large format, full-color printers, plotters, laminators, and application tables, including the loading and unloading of materials while maintaining precise settings.
  • Prepare substrates for application, which may involve cutting, laminating, and painting.
  • Utilize various weeding techniques to remove excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Conduct a final quality control check against the electronic work order.
  • Transport signs to installation sites.
  • Prepare the work area by removing existing signage (if needed), prepping surfaces, and ensuring all electrical components are operational (if applicable).
  • Adhere to all safety protocols during preparation and installation.
  • Install signs in strict accordance with the work order.
  • Clean the installation site upon completion of work.
  • Conduct a quality control review and communicate findings to the supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Experience in sign installation is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical/wiring is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Must be safety-conscious and customer service-oriented.
  • Dependability and professionalism are essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Familiarity with graphic design software is beneficial, along with basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work with a professional set of hand tools is necessary.
  • Must be physically capable of performing sign installations, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights greater than 10 feet.
  • Certification for manlift and bucket truck operation is preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
