Position Summary:

Windstream is recognized as a leading service provider of advanced network communication and technology solutions for residential customers, small businesses, large organizations, and carrier partners across the U.S. The RevChain team is responsible for enhancing, maintaining, and supporting core and custom releases of the RevChain Billing product, a proprietary billing software utilized across all market segments. Additionally, Windstream offers RevChain as a software product and service to assist external customers in managing their revenue chains.

The development teams operate within an AGILE framework utilizing Scrum methodology, and experience in this development approach is essential. Familiarity with telecom and/or billing systems is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5+ years of comprehensive experience in full life cycle application development using AGILE/SCRUM methodology, Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA), and Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
  • 5+ years of proficiency in RDBMS, SQL, Oracle, and/or PLSQL.
  • 5+ years of expertise in Java, JavaEE, Hibernate/JPA/Spring, ANT, Maven, and JSF.
  • 5+ years of experience in web development technologies including CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, XML, and HTML, along with UNIX Shell Scripting and Windows scripting.
  • 2+ years of experience with WebLogic is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in developing Microservices.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to create software that adheres to approved design specifications with occasional guidance from experienced developers or architects. Conducting unit tests and integration tests to ensure software meets specified requirements and design standards is a key responsibility. Additionally, candidates should be capable of supporting the testing team during their testing cycles and mentoring junior developers and contractors.

Minimum Qualifications:

A college degree in a technical or related field with 4-6 years of professional experience, or 8+ years of relevant technical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Desired Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience is preferred.

Compensation:

The actual base pay for this position will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, including relevant skills and experience. The starting compensation range for this role is between $76,300 and $104,200.
