Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Pharmacist to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate inpatient and outpatient medication orders to ensure rational drug therapy.
  • Evaluate new orders against existing patient profiles and provide appropriate pharmaceutical care.
  • Collaborate with prescribers to resolve medication-related issues.
  • Dispense prescription medication to inpatients, outpatients, and employees as per departmental policies.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with medication safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to promote medication safety and adherence.
Qualifications
  • PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Current New York State license and registration as a pharmacist.
  • Previous hospital experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
