Job Title: Pharmacist in Charge

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a Pharmacist in Charge. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy, providing exceptional patient care, and upholding the highest standards of pharmacy practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide thorough guidance on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions, promoting patient understanding and adherence.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure our pharmacy operates in full compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, maintaining precise records and responsibly managing controlled substances.
  • Staff Training: Train and mentor pharmacy staff to uphold best practices, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Collaborative Care: Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient care, fostering a seamless and effective healthcare experience.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Insurance Processing: Efficiently handle insurance claims and reimbursements, minimizing delays and ensuring timely payment.
  • Customer Service: Professionally address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns, providing exceptional customer service and promoting a positive patient experience.
Requirements:
  • Valid pharmacist license as per state regulations.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Experience in inventory management and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Proven success in managing a pharmacy team effectively.
