About the Role

Family Health Centers of San Diego is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement medical assistant courses to meet specific objectives and curriculum requirements
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective teaching strategies to facilitate student learning
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to ensure academic success
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high-quality academic standards and program accreditation
  • Assist in the coordination and supervision of clinical externships and student training
  • Maintain accurate student records and provide support to students as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS) certification required
  • Assessment-Based Certificate Program in Allied Health Education (ABC-AHE) certification highly preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of practical medical assistant experience required; 2 years of experience as a medical assistant educator or lead preferred
