Position: Hourly Manager

Role Objective

The Lead Shift Coordinator is accountable for overseeing designated shifts and ensuring that patrons enjoy a vibrant dining experience characterized by an enjoyable atmosphere and high-quality food and beverages, all prepared and served with safety in mind.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversees operations during assigned shifts, making daily decisions and providing staff support while maintaining standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Ensures the establishment and team are prepared for an exceptional shift.
  • Monitors team member performance in delivering the desired guest experience, offering immediate feedback, coaching, and recognition.
  • Guarantees that all newly recruited team members complete their designated training programs.
  • Engages with guests frequently to ensure their experience aligns with service expectations, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly.
  • Conducts motivational meetings to keep team members informed and engaged regarding menu items, promotions, and more.
  • Ensures that every guest receives excellent food service.
  • Maintains the restaurant's ambiance in accordance with established brand standards.
  • Performs food safety checks to ensure compliance with health standards.
  • Manages cash handling protocols, including assigning bartender drawers and performing server checkouts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Approves food and beverage promotions or complimentary items.
  • Inspects deliveries from suppliers to ensure quality and accurate billing.
  • Prepares reports at the end of each shift.
  • Promotes a safe working environment to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries, assisting with incident reports as necessary.
  • Ensures adherence to security protocols to protect team members, guests, and company assets.
  • Keeps immediate supervisors informed of all relevant issues and takes corrective actions as needed.
  • Conducts preliminary interviews for potential team members using established guidelines.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of experience as a team member and certified coach (internal).
  • Alternatively, one year of external restaurant experience with a preferred college degree.
  • Must be capable of fulfilling all functions and meeting qualification standards for all hourly roles.
