About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at the State of Indiana. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our facilities, while also providing exceptional customer service to our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate housekeeping schedules and staff assignments to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
  • Establish and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout our facilities, including patient rooms, common areas, and equipment.
  • Supervise and train housekeeping staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of cleaning supplies and services.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and engineering, to ensure seamless operations and minimize disruptions.
  • Prepare and submit reports on housekeeping activities, including cleaning schedules, staff performance, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping or facilities management, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Valid Indiana driver's license required.
