Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Information Technology Instructor to join our adjunct faculty pool. As a part-time instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a range of Health Information Technology courses in an online format, as well as at various locations and times. Your expertise and passion for teaching will help shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Health Information Technology courses in an online format, as well as at various locations and times
  • Develop and revise curriculum to ensure it remains current and relevant
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in student recruitment and articulation activities with local schools and colleges
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related professional experience, or Associate's degree and 6 years of related professional experience
  • Experience teaching ICD-10 and CPT courses
  • Ability to work effectively with students and colleagues in a diverse academic environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain subject matter currency and adapt to changing technologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Health Information Technology or a related field
  • Experience with online learning management systems
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and developments
