About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Framing Team Lead to join our team at Michaels. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and coaching a team of framers to deliver exceptional customer service and drive custom framing sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Coach the Framing Team: Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and ensure a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Drive Custom Framing Sales: Analyze sales data, identify opportunities, and develop plans to increase custom framing sales and revenue.
  • Assist Customers: Provide exceptional customer service, assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Manage Store Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the framing department, including inventory management, shrink and safety programs, and truck unloading and stocking processes.
  • Develop and Implement Processes: Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Store Manager: Work closely with the Store Manager to achieve store goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Recruit and Develop Talent: Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and development of new team members, and provide coaching and feedback to ensure their success.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in a retail management or sales leadership role, preferably in the art and frame industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and coaching skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to analyze sales data and develop strategies to drive sales growth, and experience with inventory management and shrink and safety programs.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
