Job Summary

The Anoka County Assessors Department is seeking a highly skilled Appraiser Manager to join their team. As a key member of the Property Records and Taxation Division, this individual will be responsible for managing a team of appraisers responsible for producing fair and equitable assessments for Anoka County. The successful candidate will have a strong background in real estate valuation and a proven track record of leadership and management.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a team of appraisers responsible for producing fair and equitable assessments for Anoka County
* Ensure appraisers classify and value all real estate and taxable personal property within Anoka County
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely assessments
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. business, mathematics, public administration, real estate, or statistics)
* At least 5 years of job-related experience
* AMA certification required, with ability to obtain SAMA certification within 24 months of hire
* Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in team management and development
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
