Emergent Method is a nationally recognized management consulting firm seeking a dynamic graphic designer to support all aspects of creative design, strategy, and production for the firm's wide range of clients and internal needs. This individual will play an integral role on Emergent Method's creative services team by collaborating internally with other designers, web developers, and content strategists, as well as externally with clients to understand their needs and produce high-quality deliverables.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, plus benefits, including comprehensive healthcare, flexible work hours, and unlimited time off. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing original, attractive, and branded collateral and program materials using knowledge of layout, typography, and color.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with Emergent Method's team of consultants, designers, and project managers to understand client needs and propose creative solutions, including the development of print and digital deliverables.
  • Design original, attractive, and branded collateral and program materials using knowledge of layout, typography, and color.
  • Use design principles to create and adhere to brand standards, enhance visual design, and improve quality of deliverables.
  • Research and understand a client's industry, background, and objectives, as well as the context, content, and purpose of the deliverable to make thoughtful design decisions.
  • Review and edit documents to ensure layout and formatting is accurate, consistent, and meets brand standards, particularly those in Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Microsoft Word and PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, advertising, art, visual communication, or a related field.
  • Up to three years of experience, with a strong portfolio of work that clearly demonstrates expertise in design functions including, but not limited to: print, social and digital media, and branding.
  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience working in and designing for various content distribution platforms, such as WordPress and Mailchimp.
  • Experience creating motion graphics or video (After Effects, Premier Pro) and photo editing a plus.
  • Enthusiastic about advancing technical and soft skills and learning new design trends, technologies, and techniques.
  • Ability to take and give direction, communicate ideas effectively, and tell compelling stories through design and visual communication.
  • Exceptional eye for quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain organized and meet deadlines while multitasking and juggling competing priorities, as well as working with multiple team members/clients simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and pivot quickly based on rapidly changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and conflict resolution skills.
