Job Title: Corporate Real Estate Attorney Lead

About Company / Opportunity:

We are a leading Real Estate Investment and Management Company seeking an experienced Corporate Real Estate Attorney to lead our in-house legal team. If you have 5+ years of real estate transaction law experience and the skills to drive business growth, this may be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead various real estate transactions, including acquisitions, development, dispositions, and financing.
  • Draft, review/revise, and negotiate commercial agreements, including joint venture agreements, purchase contracts, property management agreements, leases, construction contracts, and loan documents.
  • Complete SEC filings.
  • Assist with Landlord-Tenant Issues.
  • Provide legal advice to various departments and identify/mitigate legal risks.
  • Oversee legal due diligence processes for real estate transactions, including title examinations, environmental assessments, and zoning reviews.
  • Oversee potential business litigation, including disputes with clients, partners, tenants, contractors, and other parties.
  • Ensure real estate operations comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Develop company policies and ensure compliance.
  • Manage outside counsel and litigation.

Must-Have Skills:

  1. 5-10+ years of real estate transactional law experience.
  2. Experience with real estate opportunities, including acquisitions, dispositions, due diligence, joint ventures, construction, and commercial loan origination.
  3. J.D. from ABA accredited law school and NJ bar admission.

Estimated Salary Range: $160K-$250K per year. The salary range is based on industry standards and market conditions in Newark, NJ.
