Forensic Psychiatric Nurse Specialist

This position is part of a multidisciplinary Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team at Monadnock Family Services. The ACT Team nurse provides comprehensive care to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, including medication management, psychiatric assessments, and psychosocial rehabilitation.
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for collaborating with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes. You will also have opportunities to develop your skills in community-based care and work closely with our Nursing Services Manager.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who shares our commitment to recovery-oriented care and values working collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medication management and administration in conjunction with the psychiatrist.
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and address physical health needs.
- Make referrals to community physicians as needed.
- Offer a range of treatments, including psychosocial rehabilitation.
- Support services to the ACT Team.
- A Master's, B.A., or associate degree in nursing.
- NH licensure as a registered nurse.
- At least one year of experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting preferred.
- A strong commitment to client-centered care.
- The ability to establish trusting relationships with clients and respect their rights and personal preferences.
- Collaborative teamwork and communication skills.
$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.
