Duties & Responsibilities:
Lincoln International is on the lookout for Analysts to join our rapidly expanding Valuations & Opinions Group (VOG). Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills, demonstrate a desire to develop professionally, and be eager to gain exposure to a wide array of asset classes and industries.

The Analyst role within the Valuations & Opinions Group offers a remarkable opportunity to become proficient in portfolio valuations, with the potential to engage in valuation projects across various services.

As the analytical and organizational backbone of the Valuations & Opinions Group, the Analyst will collaborate with clients, including some of the most esteemed institutional investment firms in the industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the portfolio valuation team in assessing illiquid debt and equity securities for hedge funds, private equity funds, and business development companies.
  • Conducting financial statement analysis and performing quantitative and qualitative assessments.
  • Reviewing client investment documents and financial models to gain insights into the companies or securities under analysis.
  • Compiling and presenting statistical summaries of financial information in an organized manner.
  • Researching and gathering published financial data across various industries.
  • Identifying relevant comparable public companies and M&A transactions.
  • Constructing and reviewing valuation analyses using proprietary models.

Research Responsibilities:
Providing insights on:

  • General economic conditions.
  • Industry-specific trends and developments.
  • Acquisitions and divestitures within targeted sectors.
  • Investment characteristics of publicly traded and privately held securities.

Engaging in due diligence meetings, liaising with clients, and addressing auditor inquiries regarding valuation analyses. Additionally, assisting in the preparation of client deliverables and fee proposals.

  • A strong academic record with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • One year of relevant professional experience in valuations, corporate finance, or accounting.
  • Strong writing skills and experience with presentation software.
  • Effective organizational skills and the ability to manage projects.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
