Overview of the Senior Field Construction Coordinator Role:

This construction support role involves assisting the Construction Manager with the daily operations of projects. Responsibilities include conducting walkthroughs to verify that work aligns with established guidelines, coordinating with office staff, and maintaining precise written documentation. Opportunities for cross-training in various disciplines (such as customer care and forward planning) are available, enabling career advancement within construction management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Construction Manager in all facets of the construction process from initial groundwork to final move-in.
  • Assist in overseeing trade partners throughout the rough, finish, detail, and final orientation stages.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of trade partners' work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Help the Construction Manager maintain accurate records of job modifications, including option orders and purchase orders.
  • Keep a daily log of occurrences on the job site.
  • Contribute to the assessment of trade partners and product performance, providing ongoing feedback to the Customer Care Manager and Construction Manager regarding workmanship quality.
  • Collaborate with Customer Care Representatives to ensure quality and readiness of homes for move-in, facilitating timely project completions and deliveries.
  • Assist in maintaining a tidy job site for trade partners, follow instructions effectively, and utilize hand tools as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in homebuilding or a related trade is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred, though equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Basic knowledge of construction practices is beneficial.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality in relation to the daily work schedule are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Strong organizational skills are necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Ability to follow directions from supervisors is expected.
  • Understanding and adherence to workplace rules and procedures are required.
  • Openness to constructive feedback is important.
  • A collaborative spirit and strong work ethic are essential traits.

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from an hourly rate of $36, subject to adjustments based on factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials, and operational considerations.
